"Beautifying the world... one building at a time."

Mexico Cultural Center
Located for an easy and immediate access to the border of the United States, the center is an extension of the new urban development which provides for tourist, commercial, and government facilities in Tijuana, Mexico. The programming of the project consists of the following elements:
1. Museum
2. Coffee shop and restaurant
3. Consultation and Concession Areas related to the museum
4. Areas for temporary exhibits
5. Omnimax theater
6. Theater
7. Commercial and Administration building.

The project's concept of "plasticity" expresses the massiveness and rich textures inherent to Mexico's pre-Columbian and Colonial architecture. These fundamental characteristics are then translated through contemporary techniques and materials. Within this overall concept, was the idea to make the center a symbol of the city, this is represented in the Omnimax theater space which was conceived of as a bio-sphere. The complex as a whole helps establish Tijuana as a center for world culture.
